Ирвинг Пенн (Irving Penn)
Этот американский фотограф известен своими шикарными и элегантными кадрами, особенно относящимися к временному периоду после Второй мировой войны. С 1938 года он сотрудничает с журналом «Vogue» и активно использует технику белого и серого фонов. Именно использование этой техники делает его величайшим фотографом того времени. Теренс Донован(Terence Donovan)

Филипп Халсман (Philippe Halsman)
Не смотря на то, что Халсман перенес несколько неудач в личной жизни на раннем этапе, это не помешало ему стать великолепным портретистом своего времени. Его фотографии были несколько резкие и темные и значительно отличались от портретов того времени. Портреты публиковали во многих журналах того времени, в том числе и в «Vogue». После знакомства с художником-сюрреалистом Сальвадором Дали, решает сделать сюрреалистический портрет Дали, черепа и семи обнаженных фигур. На осуществление задуманной работы было потрачено три часа. Именно он разработал философия отображения человека в движении, в прыжке. Считал, что только так можно показать «реального» человека изнутри. В пике карьеры делал портреты знаменитостей, таких как Альфред Хичкок, Мэрилин Монро, Уинстон Черчилль, Джуди Гарленд и Пабло Пикассо.
Хиро Кикай (Hiroh
Kikai)
Известность этому японскому фотографу принесли монохромные портреты жителей района Асакуса (Токио).
